Have to cancel the honeymoon in Mo Bay = MISERABLE

Original post by Inkedupkitten

SO my FH tells me tonight that he is going to have an issue getting his passport and well I had to call and cancel the trip to Jamaica.

I am pissed to say the least because he waited till NOW to tell me...

We now OWN the airfare for a year and will not know if it is transferrable due to AIR JAMAICA being the carrier.....

SO NOOOOOW i had to call my travel agent and tell him to try and get us some where in the virgin islands or somewhere that does not need a passport.....

Ughhhhh
I am really upset with him now.. and the fact that he thought of this a few weeks ago and did not tell me....

I'm sorry, that *****. Is this something that will never be remedied or could talking to a lawyer maybe help you sort it out?

Luckily there are lots of awesome places to go that dont require a passport. Good luck

I am pretty sure they have changed the law and as of a couple months ago it is now a requirement even for Puerto Rico, St. Thomas and St. John that you need a passport. I would check with travel agent but I recall reading about the change.

I went to Puerto Rico in August for my Honeymoon & we did not need a passport. The Virgin Islands & Puerto Rico are US territories, so it is as if you are not leaving the US at all.
