Have you and FI decided on when (ideally) you want to have kids?

Just curious... I know that most people do or definitely should talk about IF they're going to have kids, but for those of you who have answered yes to this question, have you talked about when? FI and I certainly have, but, although we've come to a compromise about it, we did disagree about when would be ideal. FI would like them immediately, I want to wait a few years (cause of career, etc.)... Any one want to share their feelings about the kids question? Who's pushing for kids more (read: sooner) - you or FI

FI is pushing for sooner but we have compromised to wait at least 6mos. to 1 year before trying.

FH ideally wants to try after our 1 year anniversary .. i want to wait 4 years .. hehe so we compromised at a baby around our 3 year anniversary

Neither one of us is really pushing, but maybe me more than him. I want to get pregant when I am 29, and have the baby when I am 30. He is ok with this, he will be 33. I am 26 now.

I want them immediately, he wants to wait. But we decided we would not have any kids until we have a house. Hpefully that won't take too long.

We will start trying around our 2 year anniversary.

Boop - we're going to try to wait until we have a house too. I just hope that happens before I'm 50!

FH and I both LOVE kids! So, we are definitely going to have them! When, we're not sure. We have a lot coming up in the near future with my job and he will be going back to school full time to get his MBA. So, it will be a while. But, we're still young so we don't feel rushed. When we get married in Sept, I'll be 25.

we firgured that aroudn our first anniv we might start...if everything else seems in order...

FH and I definitely want kids too, but we want to enjoy each other first. We think maybe around the 1 yr we'd start trying, but we'll really see when the time comes.

We definitely want kids too....Maybe around our 1 year anniversary, we will start trying....Originally we wanted to wiat for a hour but Thay may be anotehr 5 or so years.....want to have my frist (HOPE FOR TWINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) before I am 30...I am 25 now...willbe 26 when I get married....

Luckily, we both want to wait -- but I think I want to wait longer than he does! Oh well, I guess we'll know the right time when it comes!

We agreed to start trying for the honeymoon.

We are starting asap after we get married, we have th e house and he has a good job, and I will be 32 by the time we get married.

It will be a few years before we attempt to start a family.

We want to try for a honeymoon baby. If it was up to my FI we would be trying right now. We both can't wait to have a family.
