have you been to/having a Saturday day wedding?
Original post by berrie1121
So, I was out with my friends last night and one girl had said that she had just gone to a Saturday day wedding and how weird it was to be drinking during the day and such. Little did she know that that is exactly what I am doing, and I didn't tell her after she said that. She is not someone who I am inviting to my wedding, but needless to say it bothered me and upset me. I want to hear some feedback from you girls if you have been to Saturday day weddings and/or are having one and what you think about it. I hate second guessing myself with all of these wedding details, especially the ones that I can no longer do anything about to change! AHHH! TIA :)

I thought the same thing before my FBIL's wedding, and I was completely wrong. Everything was gorgeous and perfect. If the wedding was at night, we wouldn't have been able to enjoy the RH's beautiful grounds and views of Lake Ronkonkoma.

Hey weekend twin, don't fret. As others have said, Sat day weddings give people the opportunity to celebrate without going home half-dead or een waking up with a hangover (unless they opt to party somewhere else afterwards). I can understand why you'd want to have it during the day due to costs, FH and I almost opted for a Sat day wedding, but I love night weddings. I know FH and I are going to have people give us sh$t about having it on a Sunday night, but this is what we want to do, just as you and your FH want to have it on Saturday during the day.

I'm considering a Saturday day wedding - I love the idea of continuing the party all day & night long

My wedding was Sat during the day - people had a great time - definitely danced and drank - it didn't make a defference. And my RH is on the water, so the views were gorgeous - you wouldn't be able to appreciate it at night. After the reception, a bunch of people came to the hotel bar to hang out for a while. The whole day was great - don't worry about it at all.

I went to a Saturday day wedding over the summer and it was a little strange to be drinking/dancing. Buttt I totally agree with other people that how you plan the day would make a huge difference. At. The wedding I went to they had too much dance music/lights going on for the time of day.
