Have you booked florist yet?

Hi girls, With all this talk about florists lately, I am trying to get an idea of how many of you have booked florists already. People keep telling me I have time (July 2010) but I am not sure if I should listen to them. Flowers is the one thing I am dreading because I dont know anything about them! Do you think I have some time?

I booked my flowers with flowers michelle, i booked back in february 14 months before my wedding! so you are ok! you can book now

ETA: Some florist don't expect you to know what you want! they will help you figure this out! so don't worry! you can shop around but you still have some time!!! good luck Kiki!

I booked with Flower Michele in february - they say you don't have to book until 8 months before

You don't have to know what you want either just a general idea for prices

going to flower barn next week.

trying to set up an appointment with flowers michelle for next week. they were booked today.

My florist is actually an old friend of mine. I've known him since we were little kids and when we were in high school, he started working at a florist. Then we went to college, and he got a job doing all of the floral arrangements at the Waldorf Astoria

Fast forward to this January.......he's a high school art teacher now, but I was at his grandfather's funeral and he says to me 'If you don't have a florist yet, I know someone great.' I ask who, and he responds 'ME!' Turns out he had also done all of the arrangements for the funeral, which I commented to him how great they were and he answered 'This? This is nothing.....wait until your wedding!'

I haven't done this yet and I'm June 2010. Dreading it too. How can you book a florist without an idea of what you want / and how much that will cost? Not looking forward to it. . . I want to get my dress and my bms dresses first. Ugh.

i booked my florist in feb, so 13 months before the wedding.

I'm getting married the weekend after you and we're not looking at florists until the mid/end of next month probably.

I booked with Flower Michele also. I booked them back in Oct/Nov.

i haven't started looking yet. probably not going to start until towards the end of the year. i also have a fairly good idea who I'm going with so I plan on just getting a few quotes to compare.

I'm a week after you and booked my florist about 3 months ago. If you feel that you want to book now- go for it. You dont want your favorites to get booked up!
