Have you ever...

Original post by SummerBride10

not liked one of your vendor's work for you....but didnt say anything because

1- You didnt want to hurt their feelings

2- You knew other girls on the site were using them.

I'm torn....I hate being negative and saying negative things about vendors, especially my own. I know they work hard. But I'm not 100% satisfied with something and I dont know what to do. I don't want to post who it is because I know alot of girls are using this person and I don't want this person to find out.

Here's the thing- vendor is super sweet, awesome customer service. I recieved the work I had paid for...it wasn't the quality I was expecting. I wasn't happy with the work. Thats a big part why I'm so conflicted.

colleen I am having the same issue - and I have drafted a bunch of reviews. . . . . . I did not receive the work yet.. . . . but I think that I am going to post something soon I just don't want to start drama

right with ya girl :)

I think you should say something. Wouldn't you want to know if there were ways you could improve your performance at work? Wouldn't you want to know if one of your vendors had disappointed someone else? Definitely do it!

I always thought LIW was a good place to be honest with eachother, so why would saying something here start drama? I appreciate the good and bad feedback and I'm sure mostly everyone else does too. As for dealing directly with the vendor, express that the quality was not what you were looking for and they may make the changes you want without being offended. You won't know until you try. Afterall, you're the bride and the bride is always right!

Say something. You're paying for a product and / or service. If a particular vendor didn't do the job you wanted you HAVE to let them know.

Here's a few things that have happened to me along the way:

1. Barron's made me a veil, swore it was the veil I ordered when it WASN'T. I like the veil, and it's beautiful but I let her know that I am not blind and/or stupid she should have just admitted it was a different veil.

2. When I went for my first menu meeting at Fox Hollow, the person running the meeting was running late (we waited over an hour) and rushed us through it. I called and told them that was unacceptable -- they gave us a whole new meeting a couple of days later. Which
went wonderfully. Everything is great now.

3. Lillette's too. The first time I went I felt rushed and that the salesperson wasn't listening to me. I went back and let her know.. the next time... it went much better.

Moral of the story: Speak up. Just because you don't like something doesn't make them a bad vendor. It's a business -- it's not personal.

I think that as a customer, you have every right to express your dissatisfaction with something.

I would expect that as people providing a service, the vendors would appreciate your feedback, as long as it is presented in a constructive way.
No one is perfect, no one does perfect work 100% of the time. If you spent money on something and were not happy with the result, you should speak up, and hopefully the vendor will work with you to get what you had expected.

You can't worry about what others on this site are doing - I don't think any of us expect our vendors to be perfect 100% of the time, understand that everyone has off days - and if anything, it gives the other brides here something to look for that hopefully they can prevent happening to them.
