Have you ever fought a parking ticket? How?

I received a Parking ticket at the LIRR station in Ronkonkoma on Good Friday. I didn't realize that I wasn't in a space...I parked at the end of a row in front of a parked car..I didn't realize that there wasnt a parking line next to me...

Anyway...the ticket is $75....and after close inspection, they wrote that I had a maroon station wagon...EXCEPT I have a maroon truck..can I fight this?

PS. NO one else in the entire parking lot had a ticket and there were people parked at the end of the rows just like me!! That's why I thought it was a space!

Thoughts? Be honest..the worst thing that could happen is I have to pay it! Thanks!!

That may be kind of hard to fight. The mistake for the make of car won't help you but take pictures that are time stamped. If you can show that these are actively parked in spaces and the markings are not clear...maybe you can get off.
