That just WON'T GO AWAY?? My eyelid just keeps fluttering on overdrive, and it's driving me crazy. I have to read stories to the kids all day, and it's starting to affect me...any ideas on how to get it to stop??

Are you allergic to pollen? My eye doctor told me mine is triggered by my allergies, and it seems to only happen the days I forget to take my medicine.

i get eye twitches all the time, in fact i have it right now. my doctor said its from stress and eye strain.

I had one for 10 days, it finally just stopped 2 days ago (we're moving soon and I've been stressed out!!!) so I know how you feel!!

Wow - thanks ladies! I think I may be developing allergies - my eyes have been itching all week, but not red. So maybe that has something to do with it...who knows...the twitch is a little better today.

Alias - thanks for all that info...and it's funny, at the end where it said to cut out caffeine...those are the two things I do all the time - drink coffee and smoke!!!!!!! Ugh!!!

My friend told me last night that it means something bad is gonna happen (isn't that nice)...I like your grandmothers idea better!

You always tell it like it is - I love that about you...and I know you're right, I have nothing to even say in response to you...I'm truly addicted to this nasty, horrible habit...but I want to try REALLY hard to quit SOON, because next year we want to TTC!

Marnles, when you're almost ready to quit I have a doctor who does this hocus pocus thing-y that eliminates the physical withdrawal symptoms...it worked for me. Let me know if you're interested!

(btw, I should get commission from this guy b/c I tell everyone about him! )

He's a chiropractor and its only $100...

he has this little buzzing thing that he touches your ear with in 4 spots...its based on the premise that the nerves in your ear are contected to everything else in your body...its weird but painless and it worked for me but you have to WANT to quit for it to work...none of that 'well, I'll just have ONE drag...'

I quit smoking at least once a year for each of the 14 years that I smoked so I know what its like!

Wow - that sounds great!! I have also tried MANY times to quit, but it is a serious addiction...

I did wind up quiting for 3 months when I had mono many years ago. You wanna hear what stressed me out so much that I took one drag and went back to it - my father getting diagnosed with lung cancer!! Unbelievable, but true...

I know when I'm ready it will be because I will want my body to be as healthy as possible to TTC...and I really think I will stick to it! I don't want to go out like that!

I just have to add: when you go to this guy, he gives a speech beforehand so that you can understand why its working and the part that got me was that smoking DOES NOT relieve your stress - you feel relaxed for a minute and then your a mess again, because the nicotine makes you crazy....thats what got to me because I was (am?) always stressed and uptight and all I ever want to do is RELAX!

Hahahaha - stess girl here too! I'm the person that people see at work and say 'Smile, it can't be that bad' (which I HATE when people say)...little do they know I'm not angry about anything, my mind is just thinking about so many different things!!
