FH and I both asked our friends to be in the bridal party and they happen to be dating.....I was with the girl Friday and she asked me if she would be walking down with her BF...I said yes of course....And she was like 'oh ok b/c someone asked me recently and they told me thats like forbidden' (but her source isn't married)....Am I out of the loop here?? Is this like a bad luck thing? hah
She wants to walk with him and his mother wanted to come to the church to take pics of them walking together also
Anyone heard of this????.....even if its true I guess we're obv. not going to follow this 'rule' lol

Re: Have you ever heard of this 'No-No??'
yeah... and its illegal to say the words 'ice cream' on the second tuesday of every other month, too...
this is ridiculous!!!! its your wedding, arrange them however you want! i dont think its bad luck or 'forbidden' at all...in fact, i think it is extremely respectful and a great sign of sharing your togetherness with others.
you are a very smart young lady.

I never heard of that. We have a couple walking down the aisle together in our wedding, and we are walking down the aisle together in FSILs wedding which is before our wedding. I'm not supersticious so I wouldnt care anyway...but I never heard that!

Re: Have you ever heard of this 'No-No??'
I actuallt HAVE heard it before
My friends wedding last year FH and I were in it together. The NO-No is if you walk downt eh aisle together...not leave the church together. Roxanne had the guys walk in together and the girls walked in one at a time and they I left teh church with FH next to me.
I also like it when the girls walk in solo anyways. It shows the girls off a bit

i walked down the aisle with FH 3 years ago for a friends wedding, we knew at that point we would be getting married eventually, and now here we are!
it didnt cause any bad karma for us......it was the big joke that it was gonna be practise for us
same here!

I have never heard of this, but my GM's will serve as ushers, then go up and wait with the FH while everyone else comes in. My girls will walk in alone, and leave with a GM. Even if this were a true 'superstition' which I assume is a 'jinx' on an unmarried couple walking up the aisle together before their wedding (silly silly), you can 'cure it' that way.

Re: Have you ever heard of this 'No-No??'
I've never heard of this, although we have two couples in our BP and we're not having them walk together, but it's for different reasons.
Funny story, my grandparents met because they were part of a BP and were each other's partners. My grandma always says, 'The first time I met him, he walked me down the isle! It was a good omen!'
