That people around you are getting whacky? Since the planning of the wedding has begun people are strange. Wondering if maybe it's just me. Friends freaking out - family acting bizarre.

Do share if you are dealing with the same stuff.

It's not a full moon, so it can't be that.
Maybe because of the summer solstice ?

Everyone has begun offering suggestions on how to do things.
HELLO - my wedding is four months away. Anyone who knows me knows that I have most everything done already.

isay the wedding planning brings out the wrst in people. this is the time that you will ralize who ur true freinds are and u will realize how weird ur family can be. lol.

My FMIL has gotten a little wierd - we have always gotten along really well and now she seems a little evasive and is separating herself. In the beginning she was all about helping out, but I think she expected us to have a firehouse wedding, like FHs brother, where she made or ordered all the food from various places. FH and I are having our reception at a RH so there isn't much to be done there.

I keep getting the feeling that she thinks we are being frivilous, which we are so not! We are paying for the wedding ourselves and are totally keeping a tiny budget. My FSIL said to me in the very beginning (with horror!!!) that her brother had spent $3,000 on his wedding, can you believe it???? To which I said 'OMG, that's incredible, how did he do it???' She thought $3,000 was a waste.

They live in Western NY in a town that just got a McDonalds, when FH was in high school the only jobs were at the local farm, I understand we are from different worlds but it gets difficult sometimes.

OMG I get the same exact feeling from my FMIL! We had a GREAT relationship until we got engaged, now she drives me nuts. To preserve my sanity, I will no longer discuss our plans with her. He can do it if he wants too

We're both 30 & have good jobs, but I get the feeling that she thinks we're stupid, we're 18 & we make $4 / hr or something. Oh & she's from PA, so she has NO clue about NY weddings either. Everything that we do in her opinion is too much, not right, a waste of $$, over the top and on & on & on...I can't wait until the wedding's over just so that things can get back to normal again!! We were great friends prior to our engagement!

Oh and it's totally not you!!! lol Feel free to vent on this one any time you need to...I feel better now that I did!

I thought it was me but as the calls and RSVPs started coming in I realized that people are just whacked! I get requests and comments that are just off the wall. Like Is so and so invited and if they are I don't want to sit next to them.
