A woman is suing a casino for contributing to her gambling addiction! She says she lost about $300,000 over 10 years gambling. Whatever casino it is that she is suing had some sort of form for addicts to fill-out that said if they were seen in the casino they'd be thrown out or if they tried to cash in, their winnings would be revoked. Apparently this woman got into the casino undetected and lost alot of money yet again and is now suing the casino! Are you kidding me??

Her lawyer is saying that like a bartender, the casino has a degree of responsibility for the gambler. Like if a bartender sees that a person has had too much to drink it is the bartender's responsibility to refuse to serve the person. The casino's argument is that there can be thousands of people on a casino floor at a time and there is no way of knowing how much a person has lost so how can a dealer cut a person off?

That is the dumbest thing. Although so is Suing McDonalds because you spill hot coffee on ure leg or because you are fat.

Whatever happened to people being responsible for themselves?! I'm overweight because Ronald McDonald made me eat a supersized Big Mac, Fries and coke everyday. I got burned by my hot coffee. That coffe was deemed too hot to be sold legally that lawsuit was not dumb. No coffee should be hot enough to give 3 rd degree brns(or whatever it was)

That is insane!!! Why should a casino be worried if somone is losing a lot of money? That person could be a millionaire. How is a casino supposed to know whether someone can afford to lose that money they are playing with? People think you can sue for anything and everything these days.
As for the McDonald's coffee, the only reason they got spanked on that verdict was that the woman suffered very serious burns to her genital area and the idiot who testified for McDonalds said something along the lines of 'yes, we know our coffee is scalding hot, but we do that on purpose because coffee is expensive and we give free refills, so if the coffee is that hot people don't usually have enough time to drink more than one cup by the time it cools down enough to drink.'
