So I am looking at the Bill Levkoff 966 dress, It is so expensive in the stores, HOB had it so much cheaper? How does this work? I know you have to get measured, but is this something we can do or should we get measured professionaly. So do you find a seamstress first who will alter and measure you? Any recommendations?

Wow i would like to know this also....however.
my SSIL got all of our dresses off of online. all we had to do is get measured and she submitted all the information to the.
Alot of people gave me a hard time getting measured so i did it myself... lets hope that works!
I'll look into a little further and post abck with what i have

Got my gown from netbride.com and loved the service and of course my dress. I just placed an order w/them on Monday for my 7 BM dresses too....I would highly recommend netbride.com. In researching I read bad reviews about house of brides.

On netbride's website they have sizing measurements for each designer. So you measure the girls bust, hips and waist and see which dress will fit them. My mother is doing mine & my BM alterations....she's a seamstress so I lucked out w/that. My dress was 1/2 the price w/netbride and the BM dresses were $75 cheaper each from netbride.

Based on what RK bridal told me, you are better off not using HOB because they were causing issues with manufactuers...thats why we ordered our BM dresses from RK and not HOB...I've heard a lot of good, consistent reviews about RK..good luck!

got all of our BM dresses at RK bridal in manhattan... best place in the world! sooo cheap!!!! teh girls are all going to a local person they know together to get them altered for something like $40 from what i understand... rk is really great! they have everything there! i even got my gown there for half the price it was at other places!!!!!!

If you do a search there are alot of negative reviews of HOB. I am going to go through RK Bridal instead as well.
Just have your girls get measured by a seamstress and look at the chart to see what size they are. EVerything is ordered through the internet I believe.

My friend used HOB for her wedding and her cousin's and was very happy with them. She had no problems at all.
