Have you read East of Eden?

Has anyone read East of Eden? It was the last Oprah Book Club selection, and it sounded good when they were discussing it on the show. I'm looking for my next book to read.

I read it last month and though it was excellent. It was very long but the story flowed really well. There was a lot of bible references in it but nothing that was too overpowering. They used the story as a way to go through the 'Cain & Able' story. It was really good so I would recommend it.

I bought it but haven't officially started to read it. I'm glad to hear that it's good. I haven't read a good book in a while.

I read East of Eden when I as a freshman in High School.. so it's been a while. But I remember liking it!

I read it in high school and liked it then. I think I remember more of it because of the movie rather than the book itself.
