Have you seen this ... Genesis receptions on here? ITs a service that makes your guest give you money so you can pay for your wedding. They say its like a gift registry. i think its tacky..JMO
I had the same reaction! From what I read, the company gets your guests to pledge money toward the cost of your wedding and then allows them to pay in monthly installments. OMG!!!! Short of passing a basket at the cocktail hour or handing each guest a bill after their meal, I really can't think of anything tackier. Sorry to any of the girls who might be considering using this service, but it's just not for me.

something i HAVE heard of that i thought was interesting was that for couples who have already lived together and have a home and everything they need, a service where guests can give you a gift of a night at a hotel for your honeymoon. i think it's called 'HoneyLuna' or something, and guests can buy you a sightseeing trip, a lunch, a dinner, a night at a hotel, etc. it's a pretty interesting way of getting your honeymoon paid for if you already have everything you need. and i THINK it's much less tacky than simply asking for money and having them pay in installments...that sounds craaaazy!
