I initially budgeted $15K for the wedding because I am paying for it myself, but I really underestimated how much flowers, a DJ and photography would cost... and I didn't even factor in videography, which we recently decided to do. So now my budget is up to $20K and it is going to be really close (and I am not including my dress, hair and makeup because I consider that personal)! We are only having 75 guests, which helped to keep the numbers down, but photography costs what it costs, no matter if you have 75 people or 300 people.

not at all- right on schedule and i had budgeted for about 20 more guests than I think we will get so that $$ maybe used for candy buffet and a few extras.

I set a budget of $30K because we are paying for it ourselves and I am in a panic that we are going to go over. More and more of FH's family are 'coming out of the woodwork'.......

So far we are within our budget but we haven't finished booking all our vendors yet. So, I'll let you know how I do when everything is booked.

But I haven't gone crazy yet... we are still in at a reasonable number.... (FH and I are also paying for the wedding)

i havent gone over yet but we are paying way too much for the hall and way too many people (i mean we got a good deal but i was looking to spend more like $75pp and less ppl not 175 ) hopefully ill get a good deal on everything else

No but we are constantly reshifting and replanning. All of the vendors are higher than we thought. We are going to see our ideal dj today plus a fourth photographer. Hopefully today will be the day for us to book vendors in our price range and we'll pull this through!!

TOTALLY!!! I budgeted for 25k and am over (but this also includes my honeymoon...) I am over about 5k

we originally though we would spend 35K for the wedding - yeah ok then we booked JT and our photographer and we were already at about 30K sooooooo we realized that for us 35K was not a realistic budget - im hoping for vendors only we are at around 50K - then of course there are other costs - like the hotel suite for 2 nights, my dress, my DOJ, hair, make up, FHs tux, shoes, accesories, the rings, our wedding gifts to eachother, the BP gifts, the honeymoon, i could go on and on! im thinking we'll be in the 60-70 range when its all said and done YIKES!
ETS: so yes we are totally going over budget - at this point we dont even really have a budget
