to not talk about your wedding with people? I was trying to talk to some of my friends about them and what have they been up to, because I dont want them to feel like all I care about is the wedding (or that all I want to talk about is the wedding)..... However, they kept bringing the conversation back to my wedding!!
I dont want people to get tierd of me and my wedding planning!

Re: Have you tried....
I feel the exact same way. I try to do all of my wedding talk on here...although sometimes I can go days on here just BS'ing and no wedding talk. But I know first hand that not everyone wants to hear about your wedding as much as you really wanna talk about your wedding...unless your on here of course

LOL, It is weird, how I am trying to be 'normal' not just a 'bride to be'! I am soo happy to talk about it though! I just dont want my freinds and family to think that I have changed too much!

yup! Me too.. the only ones i really talk wedding to are my family and my friends who are also getting married.. I dont even talk about it much to members of the BP because i dont want to seem like an overly obsessed bride.. which i am

Re: Have you tried....
HAHA YES!!!
It's nice to talk about what's going on with the planning, but sometimes enough's enough!
Oddly enough, my mom is the best person to talk to about non-wedding things. We both think the same (ugh --I'm turning into my mother!) and agree that there's other things going on in the world.

Re: Have you tried....
I don't really talk about the wedding too much and I don't really have a desire too. I only talk about it when I have something exciting to share or a new idea. My FSIL just got engaged, so when we're together to convo is usually all wedding, but with my other friends I don't really talk about it unless there is something new to report.

Re: Have you tried....
I'm such a dork. I get my wedding fix here, and then I don't usually talk about except w/ MOH, mom or FH. I don't want people to know too much b/c then nothing will be a surprise.

When is your e-party? Mine is 3/25/07, I know that day I will be GLOWING like a bride to be!

Re: Have you tried....
I am so busy with my friends' weddings that the talk is usually about theirs, and even I forget about mine! We have dinner plans tomorrow with a couple we met right before we got engaged, and I just realized we never told them!! It will be interesting to see how we now work that into the conversation....
But I definitely agree - I try to keep the wedding chat to a minimum more often than not.

Re: Have you tried....
I know how you feel. FH's brother is getting amrried this month. I have been trying not to do too much of my wedding stuff to not step on their toes. FSIL is my MOH, and I don't want her to get amd at me for talking about my wedding so close to hers. But she's the one pushing to to do everything. She made me go try on dresses, she brought me to the RH I want....she even almost called the church for me! I mean it's great that she's on top of me cuz I'm such a procrastinator, but I feel bad. I didn't want to steal her thunder, so I guess I haven't really gotten into the swing of wedding stuff yet.
