havent been here in a while, but im MARRIED. mini review and some (well a LOT) pics (nonpro)
hiiii!!!!!
we're married!!!!
heres a mini review - once i get my pro pics i will probably do a longer detailed review.
Fox Hollow- WONDERFUL. Angie was my BA. i loved her. i honestly dont remember what my MDs name was but i didnt really like her. the food was great, place looked great. they opened cocktail 20 minutes early for our guests that came straight from the ceremony.
Bravura - we booked Paul for piano and vocals for CH and for the reception to play whatever slow songs and during dinner. Tony was out MC. they were SO professional and classy. im so happy we booked them. people were raving about them. they really loved our crowd but our families are so crazy they could have played the chicken dance and people would have boogied down.
Vintage String Quartet - kinda a last minute add on, about 2 months before and im SO glad we did. It was FLAWLESS! They really did a great job and sounded beautiful. i cried as soon as the bridesmaids started walking down the aisle to canon in D.
FLOWERS - LA BLOSSOM - well i was originally going to go with something very rustic and over the top. high CPS, artichokes with tea light candles in them, rose petals everywhere, greens, purples and sunflowers. well i totally changed my mind. i wanted something messy and romantic looking.. i was thinking PEACH. i told Laurie the colors and she went with it.. i handed my trust over to her and she NAILED it!! she told me she never had a bride that said 'Surprise me'. i absolutely loved my flowers. and the BoKs were HUGE. just how i wanted them! she in a true artist
DOC - Christine EAP - what can i say about her???she is incredible. so sweet, talented, caring, detailed, the list goes on and on and on. i seriously had NOT ONE worry the entire day. love her!
Serenity Limo - Eddie was great to deal with. very negotiable... well i beat him up a little. LOL. showed up on time, cars were clean, go us there in one piece.. SUCCESS!
Duet JAY- ooo Jay... how he remembered all 12 bridesmaids names in a matter of 20 minutes is beyond me!!! i didnt give them much of a must take photo list. their work speaks for itself.. i dont think they needed much direction from me. they were wonderful all day, so pleasant, so attentive. i cant wait for my proofs!!
makeup - Jacqueline Nicole. AWESOME. she is so talented. i hired a second artist bc i had so many girls, of coarse i asked JN first and she was great about it. all of my girls looked SO beautiful. we ran a little behind but nothing terrible.
hair - cactus salon, mayfair shopping center in commack- i have been going to Lindsay for YEARS so it was a no brainer who would be doing my wedding hair. we went to the salon instead of hiring her to come to my house bc there were SOOOO many BMs. and it was cheaper to go to the salon. 15 people got their hair done, Lindsay made the schedule and we stuck to it. 2 girls needed a hair redo. but we were still on time and everyone loved their hair.
i think thats all the vendors.. i can honestly say that my day went without a hiccup.. atleast none that i knew of!!!! everyone rsvped on time, everyone showed up, no one asked if they can bring a date if one wasnt invited, no one wanted to bring their kids,, seriously.. i was the luckiest bride every.. i had pretty much ZERO stress.. it truly was the best day of my life.
we went back to the inn at FH that night (which was wonderful too) and i sat on the bed (after my friend got me out of my dress, and hair extensions LOL) and DH and i sat there in shock that it was over and that it really was the best day of our lives.. i was never into the planning and the whole hooplah of the wedding. i procrastinated and didnt care about the little details but in the end it was SO beautiful. so many people called my inlaws and parents that weekend saying it was the greatest wedding they have ever been to. i have to say i was pleasantly surprised with how it all turned out. LOL
oo my dress!! Bridal elegance!! LOVE phyllis. i know she has mixed reviews but this woman knows her shyt!!! great prices and alterations.. ive sent 3 friends of mine there already and they have all been pleased.
