I just can't get into it! Is anybody else like this? My problem is I can not make up my mind what we really need!!! Right now we are living in a one bedroom apt, will probably not be looking for a house for at least a year!!! We have very limited kitchen space. We have so much clutter already!! On top of it all, my dad already warned me not to register for any china (he wants to give me all of his)!!! I respect that cause it means a lot to him!! The one idea I had was maybe some bedding, but I can't do it right now because we may purchase another bed!! I have to get my act together soon, I already have people asking me!!!

I'm not into it either. FH doesn't see the need to register for china and other stuff. We have 2 of everything right now from when we lived in our own apts.
Last weekend, when were at Best Buy he asked if they had a registry. When they said no, he was like they should thing about it bc men would love to have it. I was LMAO when he was asking bc he was dead serious.

I haven't registered yet either and need to do so soon since I am getting married in July. I think it's going to be very hard because we already live together in an apt and we will be staying there afterwards.. we don't have the room and I don't know where we will put everything

Re: Haven't registered yet.......
I did it, but its hard! We were so defeated by the time we left BB & B, it took me another week to move stuff around online. I opened a 2nd one at Fortunoff's but I did it all online.
We are moving but don't know when. I just had to go and make the decision that we WILL get a queen bed & we will just decorate around the bedding, but we got beige anyway, b/c we liked it.
I registered for 2 sets of dishes-- storing them at Mom's or FMIL's untill we move.
I was tired of people asking what we wanted & FMIL, wanted to get us soemthing we didn't register for as an engagement present, so I was going to suggest a serving peice to go with formal china ( they don't have it where I registered, but they have it at Macy's) and somehow she came up witht he same idea without me suggesting it. Good thing, otherwise she wanted t shop together. . . no time for that!
And the casual dishes my mom wants to get us they apparently only have in the BB& B I registerd in ( Elmsford) and not online or in Plainview, Westbury, or Farmingdale or any other store, so I have to buy myself an engagement present, & bring it to Mom's for storage. Too funny!

I am not either. I have to soon but am not registering for that much either. We have loved together for 4 years and have everything we need for an apartment. Not even close to buying a house yet either. I wish it was OK to ask for money!!!

Re: Haven't registered yet.......
Am I slow? We just registered this last weekend.
We really weren't looking forward to it becuase the whole asking for anything thing is really uncomfortable. But we went and found stuff we really liked.
We have everything we need, but we are basically upgrading everything we have and will be donating our stuff to charity. Basically trading in for the good stuff we will use forever...
We don't have room either but we will store some of it until we move out of this outrageously priced town in 3 years...

I haven't registered yet either but I'm looking forward to it! I think it'll be fun! If you look in the Bridal magazines, alot of them have good checklists for what you may need or want to register for. That should make the task seem less daunting once you look over one of those. Good luck and have fun!

Re: Haven't registered yet.......
I figured we have until May/June to be registered...so we'll probably start getting ideas around April. We're in no rush.

I wonder why best buy dosent let you register .. does circuit city? We have the same situation.. we live in an apt. and already have everything.. and not cheap stuff either!! nothing I want to even replace.. and everything is pretty new .. they were house warming gifts in june. I feel so awkward asking people for things.. and stuff I dont even have the room for?!? what we really want is a flat screen tv lol or money to pay off the wedding that would be the best gifts people can give. The only thing we need is a washer and dryer and FMIL told me shes getting it for us.

We really weren't looking forward to it becuase the whole asking for anything thing is really uncomfortable.
This is how FH felt , he felt that the more we put the more greedy we looked but I tried to explain to him that I am simply giving people suggestions as to what we like. If they choose to buy from a registry great if not great! Its their choice! And now we have to add to the registry because we got a bunch of stuff from it for our brithdays and christmas and there isnt that much of a selection for the shower!
But so many people WILL get you gifts because they want to and they appreciate the registry because they know without a doubt its something you want/need!
I loved registering! but as JuneBride said, we dont live together so we needed everything!

We haven't registered yet either. We already have a lot fo stuff, we've lived together for 2 years, but now that we have a house we have many more rooms to fill. The problem is we haven't painted or made any colr/style decision so it's hard to register. We're thinking of registering at a place that also seels furniture, so in case we wind up with a bucn of stuff we'll never use, we'll just return it and use it towards furniture!

You know, you can technically register for anything that you want. Like, a digital camera, TV, etc. Just figure what you'd like to replace and work from there.

I was looking forward to it. But once we got there, I couldn't wait for it to be over!! Just way too many major decisions to make so early in the morning. FH couldn't wait till it was over!
