has anyone ever thought about doing this? for instance, having your hair down for the ceremony and pictures...then having it put up for the reception? just curious, what are your thoughts? how would one do this? have the hairstylist stay the entire day?

Re: having 2 different hairstyles on the day of?
I would LOVE to do that bc I know my hair is going to be a frizzy mess if I leave it down, but I think it would take too long to have someone redo your hair between the ceremony and the reception.

I was going to do this but changed my mind that day. I just didn't want to start fussing with my hair during the CH and waste picture taking time and also if it didn't look right I would have flipped out and wouldn't have time to fix it!
Two of my bridesmaids are hairdressers so I was not going to have to hire a hairdresser to stay with me all day

Personally, I just want to get my hair done in the morning and not worry about it for the rest of the day! But you can definitely change it...girls sometimes wear 2 dresses so you can totally wear 2 different hair styles!

how about adding something to your hair during the reception? my MOH gave me the idea of taking off my veil, leaving my tiara but adding a white flower (silk or real) to my hair

I don't know if this is possible. Every time I get my hair professionally done it takes at least an hour. I guess if you get married at a church and have a long time before your reception it's possible. It might also cut into picture time. If you want a different look, maybe you should have a veil for the ceremony and take it off for the reception. Maybe even have fresh flowers on a comb waiting in your BS and tuck it in your hair. It would look very different, and would only take a few seconds.

thats a good idea.. My friend just got married and she had her hair up.. and after everything we all went to a bar at the hotel and she took her hair down.. it looked awesome and she was soo upset she didnt do it at the reception. But it can go the other way u can take it down and it look like crap..
