I got my invitations last weekend and realized there were no inner envelopes. My mom and dad were in charge of ordering the invites, and I guess just assumed that they came with inner envelopes, but apparently they don't.
My mom called Gina at Knot to Be Forgotten, and she said, 'Most people don't even use inner envelopes any more.' Ummm....I don't think so, Gina. How the heck am I supposed to let people know if they're invited with a guest or not?
My only option now is to order different outer envelopes (that don't match my invitations) that can accomodate inner envelopes and pay for boths sets of envelopes and printing of the return address (which I've clearly already paid for once).
You've 'Knot to Be For-Kidding' me.....

Re: Having a fit....
I had to order my inners separately when I placed the order -- they didn't come with mine either. I don't understand why they wouldn't have matching envelopes (inner and outer) for your invitations, that you could just order now. Maybe check out a paper store and see if you can find outer envelopes that match... I know people who have done that and ended up saving a lot of money....
Also - while I wouldn't say it's common, I do know several people who didn't use inner and outer envelopes...
GOOD LUCK!

Re: Having a fit....
My invitations didnt come with inner envelopes. I didnt find this out until they arrived and apparently with the type of invite I ordered there is no such thing as an inner envelope. So, I am going to have to put person and guest names on the outer envelope.

Re: Having a fit....
My invitations are pocketfolds and I am not including inner envelopes. Im letting my guests know whether or not they're invited with a guest on the outer envelope.

We aren't using them...it didn't come with our invite and its an extra expense IMO....They will know if they are invited with guest by the outer envelope

She said that the invitations we ordered don't have inner envelopes that go with them. The outer envelopes are a pretty snug fit, so there's no way I can find another envelope to just use as the inner one...
Grrr....

What are you writing on the outer envelope to reflect that the person is invited with a guest? My Emily Post book says that you shouldn't write, 'And Guest' on the outer envelope....I'm so confused....
