So I never ever ask for prayers/thoughts b ut this week I could use them. My grandpa has parkinson's and his health has been deteriorating this year. My grandma has been debating putting him into a nursing home because she can't provide the care he needs. He has been in and out of the hospital since may and was admitted yesterday. We thought he had a stroke but it was just the disease. She has decided to put him into a home. It is just so sad. I just want to cry for them. He just keeps saying 'Please don't make me go. I won't ask her (my grandma) to do anything for me, i promise.' It is just awful.
On top of that, my cousin who is 32 suffered two heart attacks late monday night. It turns out that he had a virus that attacked his heart. Luckily there was no damage and he will be ok...just so scary.
Sorry to be Debbie downer..i just need a hug and FH isnt home tonight lol

Oh, Lauren, I am so sorry. It is so sad when a spouse can no longer take care of their other half, its heartbreaking. I hope everything works out with your grandpa and your cousin! 32 is so young!!!!

omg! that is horrible for your grandma!! thats a tough decision to make and she probably doesnt want to put him in a home and its just sad ... my FH is going through this with his grandma. She has been in and out of hospitals all year (she is currently in) and her daughter is thinking about putting her in a home too ... just terrible and she doesnt want to go but they cant provide the care and attention that she needs anymore.

Oh my! I got teary reading this. I'm so soooo sooo sorry hun! Will the nursing home be close to you guys so you could pop over often? Is there anyway to keep your Grandfather home and maybe hire an day nurse?
