Having an issue

Having an issue

So we booked at Hamlet Willow Creek. I was wondering if anyone out there has had a ceremony at this venue or has been to a ceremony at this venue. The room the ceremony will be in is gorgeous, but it is the same room as the reception. I am having trouble envisioning a way to make the ceremony special. Such as what king of decorations should line the aisle. What should the Trellace look like? I don't want it to look tacky. I really want the ceremony to be the most special part of the day. The aisle is directly in front of a window. Will that present an issue for the photographer? Should I skip the whole wedding archway since we will be framed by the window?? I NEED HELP! Any ideas or images you could send my way, I would really appreciate. I want to go to the florist some pictures of what I would like it to look like. Thanks for the help in advance!!!

I have the same issue. I am having my ceremony and reception in the same room at the Milleridge Inn Carriage House. The ceremony is facing a bay window, although mine will have a huge christmas wreath in it, so I am forgoing the archway. Im going to have chair covers so I am not doing aisle flowers. I may have 2 side baskets of flowers, but I am not sure. I like simple. Less is more outlook. Is there a view of anything outside the window? Good luck and welcome.

Ok so you are not going to have anything covering the window for your ceremony?? I want the natural light for the photos, but the planner at Hamlet Willow Creek said that might present an issue for the flash in the glass. I dunno. I don't want an archway. I think they are sort of tacky. I saw some images of tall vases with twig branches and flowers in them. I love that look flanking either side of the window. Then I think we are going to do tall post candle holders down the aisle and rose petals on the runner. I think that is the look I want. Do you think your photographer will have an issue getting images with the light coming in from the window?? The view outside the window is gorgeous! It's a lake and a beautiful bridge! Let me know your thoughts. It's nice to know we are on the same page!

Re: Having an issue

I would ask your banquet manager, if this has been an issue in the past, and ask your photographer. He may be able to work with it. Nothing is covering our window, but our ceremony will be at 12, so I am hoping that the sun will be high enough in the sky by then, if we are even lucky enough to have a sunny day in December or the winter for that matter. I would ask the photographer, he is trained for details like this.
