i recently went to Davids Bridal with a friend of mine who is also getting married. She was trying on different dresses so i decided to try on as well. (i had no intent on purchasing)
I tried on an oleg cassini mermaid dress and i loved it.. the sales reps kept saying how beautiful it looks on me and that if i love i should buy it, she said that these dresses get discontinued very quickly.
So i called my mother and the sales rep asked 'who are you calling, why are u calling' which sort of shocked me but im a very quiet and shy person so i didnt really know what to say..... idk what i was thinking but i got the davids bridal credit card and i bought it. Now im upset with myself because i'm having majorr doubts my sister said i made an 'impulsive purchase'
did i mention there no return policy.. idk what to do, i should of waited........

Re: Having Doubts - - My Dress
Those sales people can be very pushy!! If you really dont think the dress is the one- you can always try to sell it on either here or ebay...esp if its brand new. Even if its for $100 or $200 cheaper at least youll get the majority of your money back.

i second the selling idea. why dont you wait till it comes in...try it on for your family/friends...and if you still dont LOVE it....put it up for sale on ebay/craigslist/here for a $100 less and im sure u'll sell it in no time.

You can always sell the dress on here or on ebay. You'll lose some money but you can at least get rid of it. Or if you can afford it, get 2 dresses! One for the ceremony and one for the reception. Which dress is it?

Re: Having Doubts - - My Dress
I would wait another 6 months or so and then decide. Go back out and look. If you find the dress of your dreams, go back home and try on the one you bought. If you keep going back to the dress of your dreams vs. the dress you have, then you can make a decision. You can always sell the dress you bought. Girls on here are always posting their dresses.

Not sure if it will work...but maybe if you go back and speak to a manager or supervisor...you can explain that the salesperson put so much pressure on you!

Heres the link.. i will try to post a picture of me in it
Thats a stunning dress!!!! The manager where I bought my dress said something like 90% of girls will buy a dress from their first time looking. Or they will always go back to a dress from the first time.

I agree. The dress is beautiful, but if you wait a little longer and then realize that it's not for you then you can try to sell it like the other girls mentioned.
