Having horrible nightmares about my babies allergies

I am having horrible nightmares night after night that my baby will be allergic to our chihuahuas. These are horible vivid nightmares where I have to get rid of my poor puppies, and the fact is I know I may have to just do that. We were told a few years back that I may not be able to conceive. So Brian bought me puppies. Now thinking about, I was a very sick child and Brian has bad allergies and I pray the dogs will not bother the baby. THis is just a vent, I know there is nothing I can do at this point, but I am actually in a funk over this. I love my little boys and I can not part imagine having to get rid of them. FOr the last three years, they have been our children. I am so sad over this, and I have 6 months of worries to go.

I always thought that children developed allergies to animals and werent born with them???

I'm not sure, but I know that we had to get rid of a dog because of me, and Brian had to as well. I just don't know what I would do if I had to get rid of them. I have had numerous dreams about this. At first, I was thinking about asking Brian's father who will be living with us to take them downstairs, but it turs out he is allergic too!!!!
