Having Second Thoughts

So I'm not sure I'm totally in love with my dress. Time is ticking fast and if I do want a new one I need to get one asap. I bought mine really quickly at a sample sale and didn't really look around too much. I think I got caught up in the moment. I loved it when I got it but now there's just something about it, i think I could have gotten something better. I think the top is too high on my chest. I also have a large chest and it somehow makes it look small. I know the dress needs to be altered a ton, maybe i'll like it more once thats done. But I don't know....should I start looking for a new one?? I value my LI girls opinions so much please help!!!

I really love your dress, i think its beautiful.. but you have to be happy with it. I am in the same boat, I am not sure i love mine either but I went and tried it on again and was happy and i 'look' online and dont see anything else I would want to even try on... so I must really like mine lol.

If you are having doubts then look around and try some mroe stuff on.. maybe you will realize its not for you or maybe you will realize you do love your dress. Sorry i cant be of more help.

I think the dress is beautiful and I love the bottom especially. Maybe they can alter the top and bring it down a little. I believ one the 08 brides had them change the top part of her dress.

No way!!! That dress is soooo gorgeous!!! I think you are having issues with it right now because it is not altered to your body. Once the seamstress fits it to your body, I am sure it will look even better. I love the dress, its sooo beautiful!!!!

I think you should keep it- it's stunning! You mention that you think the top is too high. I personally don't think so- especially if you have a larger chest. If that bothers you, you can always alter the top.

Thanks so much!!!! I do love it for the most part I just think maybe it's because I rushed into it. I asked my seamstress if she could alter the top and she said no because it's beading and lace. I'm sure it can be possible but maybe it's too much work and she didn't want to do it.

is that the ms brittanya? i tried that on and loved it. if not, it looks just like it.

anyway, it's beautiful and i think you are just iffy right now because it doesn't fit you right yet! I have having 'ehhh' thoughts about mine too until it came in in my size.... makes all the difference!

The dress is beautiful, and it looks great on you. If you are unhappy with it, take it to a seamstress to see if she can change the thing(s) you do not like about it. Changing the depth of the neckline is probably easy enough, as are many other alterations. If you like the overall look of the dress, it is worth it to take it to a seamstress to see what they can do before buying another dress. It does look great on you, it is very flattering.

That is a REALLY pretty dress. I agree that the top is high but that is one of the easiest things for the seamstress to fix. I lowered the top on mine because I felt like it was going all the way up to my neck It's such a beautiful gown and it totally flatters you but, if you're really thinking that there's another dress out there for you and it's in your budget, maybe you can start looking for another one. You don't want to be unhappy with your gown the day of! JMO!

Your dress is absolutely gorgeous....once its altered to your frame you will like it better.

I just have too say I love your dress it is beautiful on you. I would go try it on again. See how you really feel and if your unsure look around a bit. I second third and forth guessed myself I ended up staying with what I picked Good Luck keep us updated!

Your dress is beautiful! I am in the same boat as you and im not sure if Im loving my dress either, but as someone else stated once it gets altered you will prob love it even more. I tried on my dress and it was in rum pink and it just doesnt feel like a wedding dress so Im hoping that when it comes in and is in the white color I love it more.

I really love the dress, but I think you are right about the top. It really does you no justice... I am trying to be honest b/c I want you to drop jaws on your day lol If you are big, maybe the seamstress can lower the top a bit... this will add a sexy feature to the dress. I am fairly large also, and mine is a sweetheart dress... I want to look beautiful and sexy at the same time lol Also, YOU HAVE TO LOVE THE DRESS!!! If you don't love it, then you are not going to be happy and will regret it later on.... you still have time to make it exactly what you want it to look like.
