Having so many doubts...

I am beginning to think that we rushed into things when booking our place and date. I love Jericho Terrace but I am not sure it's what we really want. I love the rooms so much but I posted on here that now I am afraid that you will be able to hear loud booming DJ from the other room. I also wish that I had looked at more places with hotels right there. Also, I am not sure about our date (Jan 2012). It just seems like SO far away... I feel like in 2 years I will want kids already! I think that we might look at more places just to be sure, as well as other dates... we only put a 500 dollar deposit and my work is having our end term party there so I think I can finagle a way to get the money back because of that...

Ugh I guess I just needed to vent a little bit!!!! I always wanted a winter wedding but wanted December, not Jan.. I guess all the snow we are getting NOW is turning me off if that's possible. I just don't know if maybe we should do a fall wedding instead. AHHH i don't know thanks for letting me vent!

as a 2012 bride I definetly understand your feeling as waiting so long. my wedding is in novemeber 2012 so i have a longggg way to go.. but i feel like we have the advantage to get better pricing and have the time and less stress to plan the wedding and also time to save for the wedding.

But the decision is completely up to you.

As for Jericho Terrace, I think it's a beautiful place and I don't think you will be able to hear the other DJ in another room.

Hey if you only put $500 now you wont feel that later on, its somewhat pocket change(considering how much we're really spending on wedding stuff). If your having doubts especially if your job is having a party there, I say check out other places- as for the date its going to go by sooo fast. But if it makes you happier I say take the loss of the $500, its not $5000 lol and make yourself happy.

I booked my photographer last yr and started having doubts now. I put $300 for a deposit, but went to a new photographer just last week and decided to book them(with only 2 months to the wedding) and I feel SOOOO much better and could care less about the $300 that I lost a yr ago! :) HTH

i have been to 3 weddings at jt...all goof friends of ours..at all the weddings there was another wedding going on and we never heard the other party at all

If it's any consolation to you...
I did a winter wedding and it was November 6th. no threat of snow... and just starting to get into that real winter mode! It was like a kick off to winter. No one said a think about it technically being fall with a winter theme... actually everyone loved the winter theme I did. All the stores were decorated for christmas and winter was in the air.

Just a thought... you can move it up to november and still have your winter wedding. also what about early december? then it's not sooo far away and there's no threat of a snow storm.

I dont know anything about Jericho Terrace but can totally relate to the angst in deciding whether to stay w/. the RH or change. I almost changed my RH because of little things I didn't like or because other RH's seem to look nicer/style, etc.

The key things to remember,
1- you can always change the date but even though 2012 feels so far away, time moves a lot faster than you'd expect
2- if you decide to change RHs, $500 is really a VERY SMALL price to pay for the comfort and security, and happiness in knowing the RH you want is really your heart's desire.

Don't worry - we've all been down this road, its rocky but before you know it, you will look back and see how far youve come!

dont worry about the time... it goes so fast! when we got engaged we had 2 yrs and a month to wait and now in the blink of an eye its a year and 4 months!!!!!!!!!! it goes fast!!!!!!!!

as far as the place, it is very nice there and im sure you wont be disappointed but if you feel really strongly about changing it... go for it! like someone said in the grand theme of things $500 is nothing! lol thats crazy but true!!!

Our wedding date is two days after yours, and I completely agree with the fact that it seems like it is soooo far away.. When we first got engaged I wanted to get everything done right away....but I keep telling myself to wait, because my mind can change in 2 years.

As for JT, I went to a wedding there, and everything was beautiful! I could not hear the other party going on when we were in the room.
