Re: having troublee...
Would you consider the girls picking their own dress as long as it's within the same color and length that you're looking for? That's what I'm doing with our girls. I looked online at different places and then went to a couple of boutiques but for me, the prices were a lot more than I wanted them to spend on their dresses.
I ended going to Davids Bridal because of their prices and because they have locations all over the country (I have 2 girls out of state)

I highly suggest taking one or two of your ladies to a dress shop (I'm partial to Bay Shore Bridal Suite) and just let them go crazy trying on all sorts of dresses. It took me two visits to finally pick something, but I wasn't getting anywhere looking online.

I know the feeling. I'm dreading this. I have been looking online and havent really found anything I liked. I want to pick something that is reasonably priced for my girls. If I find anything when I start looking I will let you know.

This took me a little while to figure out too. I found it easiest to just take some or all of the girls to the store and let them go nuts trying things on. Dresses in pictures are not what they look like on people, as you probably already know, but also be careful of coloring online. The color I ordered is a bright purple but it looks blue online.
My girls chose a style with ruching across the dress because they felt it hid everything and looked good on all sizes.
Good Luck!!

Re: having troublee...
I chose the color and let the girls pick the dress. We went to four bridal places and wound up getting their dresses at David's Bridal. All the ladies look great in their dress.
This is the dress my girls chose. I have 3 different sized girls. I am having sashes made but this might work for you!

Re: having troublee...
try looking on bridesmaids.com. i actually ended up buying levkoff long chiffon dresses and at here comes the bridesmaid in the city (bridesmaid.com is their website). they have a TON of long dresses and their prices are great, less than RK.

I got both my dress and the girls dresses at Bridal Suite of Centereach. They are so patient there and they have a bigger selection than you think. They keep a lot of their dresses in a storage room so if they carry the designer you like, bring in style numbers and they will pull them. I ended up with a Bill Levkoff dress for the girls!

you should maybe narrow this down. that will help eliminate options. looks at your dress for inspiration. if you are not wearing satin, then they prolly shouldn't either (they will shine and you will not) if your dress is a mearmaid or a-line try looking for complimentary shapes. If there a detail you really like about your dress, try to find that modified in a bm dress. this is what helped me when looking. I ended up going with a Jenny yoo dress. it is long, chifon and strapless and looked very pretty on all my girls

ITA with this - i brought my two MOHs with me and they settled on a dress and then we just told the girls what they had to order

Re: having troublee...
I havent purchased my dresses yet but know what I want.
I looked through tons of designers online, narrowed down the styles that I liked then I went to the store to check them out. Take one or 2 girls, maybe the ones that might be the hardest to fit.

Re: having troublee...
Bill Levkoff has sooo many different styles and colors. We went to Bridal Reflections in Carle place the prices were outrageous. I called RK Bridal in the city and they were offering it so much cheaper. Called a bridal place in Lynbrook and they offered to match the price. Definitely call around and try and get the best price.
