we are booked at the Hyatt, I've read great reviews about it. the four seasons also has rave reviews.

I am in the midst of looking into 6 days in Maui at the Hyatt, and 6 days at the Hyatt in Kauai. I was told to stay in the town Lahaina in maui from a recent couple that just returned.

Definitely the Hyatt - I have some pictures of it from our October 07 trip in my album.
The Sheraton Black Rock is also really nice. I prefer to stay in Kaanpali (where the Hyatt and Sheraton are) rather than Wailea (where the 4 Seasons, Fairmont and Grand Wailea are), but that's just our personal preference.
