FH and I are trying to budget out a honeymoon in hawaii. What do people recommened we budget per day for food and drink? I was saying $250- but I dont know if this is too low. I'd rather over budget than under budget. I know hawaii is expensive, but Im not sure how expensive...

I've been to Hawaii before and coming from NY, I did not find as expensive as others were saying...if anything I found most of the prices comparable to those you will find here. If you are willing to look for bargains and stay away from the touristy places some of the time, you'll even save money. When there, definitely go where the locals eat and get their opinions because oftentimes, these places are more delicious and not as pricey.

Good point- stuff is pricey here, so I dont think it will be as much of a price shock to us. I know I always hear how expensive food at Disney World is, and when I went there this summer, I thought the prices were pretty normal.

A good rule of thumb to follow when traveling is to budget $100 per person, per day. That means $200 per day between the two of you. I think that your estimate of $250 per day is a good one
