Hawaii and Flying

Original post by ellebelle1

Ok, here's my dilemna. I want to go to Hawaii, but my FH is a VERY nervous flyer. Since it is 10 hours from NY, I'm wondering how all you ladies that are going to Hawaii will handle this long amount of time in a plane.

Definitely drugs! Valium did nothing for me on my last flight so the next time I fly I am definitely taking ambien.

Anytime I have a long flight, I take Dramamine and then I can sleep the entire flight. Going to Hawaii, I was so tired from the wedding, that I didn't need to take anything.

OK i'm the biggest baby you will meet when it comes it flying so trust me on this ZANAX you should just have him try it before you fly to make sure he is ok on it. If the dose is not high enough it may not effect him so def have him try it out before hand and it was the best thing ever for me now i'll fly anywhere. Good Luck

i am a very nervous flyer! xanax makes you either very happy or puts you to sleep, depending on your reaction. best!

I don't like long flights either and I had benadryl with me (knocks me out) and also I had some Valium (my doctor gave me a prescription). We also ended up getting bumped up to First Class and that certainly helped with the nerves!

We are flying first class because I'm not afraid to fly but I do get claustrophobic but our other option was to fly to CA and stop there for a night to break it up.

We have a layover in Los Angeles. Otherwise, probably a few drinks and pray I sleep
