Can you tell me about what that is costing...You still have to pay to fly , so are you saving any money?

I'm doing the cruise on NCL as well. It was the only way we could afford Hawaii. You are saving on meals because the ship is all-inclusive. I heard going out to eat on Hawaii costs a lot of money. Plus if you planned to island hop you are saving because you get to see all 4 main islands without having to fly to each one.

Re: Hawaii cruise....
We took the NCL Pride of Aloha from Oahu last year. It was a great way of seeing all the islands.
We got our flights for $575/pp (but the normal cost is about $700/pp). And the cruise was not so expensive because we booked an inside cabin (we booked too late and only inside cabins of $3000 suites were available, so we went with the inside cabin).

Re: Hawaii cruise....
Instead of visiting my cousin, we decided to take Norwegian Cruise Line's 'Pride of America' cruise 2 years ago ..the whole Hawaii experience was fantastic but the cruise itself was disappointing....normally when you take a cruise (e.g. in the Caribbean) the crew are from other countries and they tend to be polite, hardworking and very attentive. But the Pride of America was the total opposite -- the crew are young americans who seemed to think they were on a vacation. They started complaining to us while we are eating our breakfast, they didn't clean our cabin and didn't change our towels until after 3 PM (when we are finally back).
Have fun!!

Re: Hawaii cruise....
We did a cruise last year to hawaii from LA and back on Princess. 16 days of bliss It was actually a very good price for two weeks and seeing 5 different places. It's nice too bc you only have to fly to cali. Might even do it again for the HM and upgrade to a nicer room!

Yes...FH and I were going to do that, but changed our minds after thinking about our last two cruises. The benefits, food is included. Disadvantages, you'll have kids and elderly ppl on board w/ you, just about everywhere you go. It is a fun experience, we just wanted something more intimate. Also, the tours on cruises are A LOT more than online. If you are interested in cruising Norwegian goes there during the summer, in the fall Carnival has a cruise there. I find the best cruising deals: Cruise deals Good luck!
