Hawaii Girls

Those of you who have been to Hawaii or are going there.. We were thinking of going to Oahu for 2 nights to see Pearl Harbor and then 4 nights in Kauai and 4 nights in Maui.

Would you recommend skipping Oahu and staying on the other islands a little longer?? Or is Oahu/Pearl Harbor worth visiting while we're there??

DH and I did 11 nights in Hawaii for our honeymoon.

2 nights were in Oahu and the remainder was in Maui. We did Pearl Harbor on our first day there and thought it was a great experience. It's kind of hard to say you had a great time there considering what it symbolizes. For DH and I, we couldn't go to Hawaii and not do this.
Keep in mind though, the first day in Hawaii is going to be a big blur! The flight is long and when you get there it's 6 hours earlier then what your used to.
We didn't want to do a 3rd island b/c we both hate packing and unpacking and we felt like that's all we would be doing.

honestly, DH and i hated Oahu .... we didn't do pearl harbor though (not really our kinda thing).

Oahu was a little bit too built up for our taste ... like any other city (not nearly as big as NYC though) .... the beach there was nice though (but the other island beaches were just as nice too)

I would only stick to 2 islands but thats just me.. I hate bouncing from place to place and having little time in each. its nicer when you spend longer days in one place then go 3 places all in 11 days.. We loovoed Maui and kauai.. it was the perfect amount of time.. we did 6 nights 7 days in maui and 5 nights 6 days in kaui .. looooved every minute
