hawaii help

for those of you who have gone on a honeymoon to hawaii or have booked your honeymoon recently maybe you girls could help me.

i was wondering if you guys could tell me an estimate of how much you are paying. we are looking into 7 nights maui and 4 nights in oahu.. but possibly 6 nights maui, 4 nights oahu and 3 nights on the big island depending on the price.

ive done a lot of research on here and have found a lot of amazing reviews but not the prices of whats been spent. so ANY help is greatly appreciated because trying to find an estimate on expedia and american express is impossible with all the island hopping and everything.. to confusing for me TIA!

Re: hawaii help

We are going to Oahu for 7 nights, and the total hotel bill was $2500. We haven't purchased the plane tickets yet, but the prices online seem to be about $700 a person, so that should make our total a little under $4000.

Re: hawaii help

It really depends on where you stay. The island hopping really doesn't add much to the cost of the trip. Figure about $150-200 pp for each 'hop'.

For our honeymoon we did 5 nights on Maui, 5 nights on the Big Island, and 4 nights in San Francisco. In hindsight I would have stayed longer on Maui and gone to Kaui instead of the Big Island. I was not a fan. There really is not much to do, everything is way spread out, and there is a serious lack of beaches (yes, i know, it's hawaii!). I just was not impressed.

As for cost, our honeymoon was definitely on the higher end (>$10K). However, we flew first class and stayed in high end hotels. Hawaii can definitely be done cheaper. It all depends on where you stay.

If you have any other questions, feel free to FM.
