Re: Hawaii HM - somebody humor me
we booked our hm ourselves...we got a honeymoon package from the Royal Lahaina in Maui and then we book our Oahu hotel from travelocity....my dad gave us our flights for free since he has about a BILLION ff miles . The only downside is insurance...we still havent figured that one out yet.

how are you booking on your own?
Are you at TA? or are you using a site like expedia?
I started out doing it myself but with all the combinations, it was too stressful so we just booked with the TA. Originally we didn't have the timeshare from my parents so we booked aplace and canceld, so we got refunded, thats why I think we paid around 3k, not sure of exact dollar amount.
Im not TA lol - just a crazy girl who has spent countless hours pricing this HM!!
Ours is definately not as entailed as yours - i can see why you got stressed. As far as my research - sites like expedia, orbitz, travelocity - we'rent necessarily cheaper. Booking seperately sometimes came out better (with coupon codes and such) but then i found a hawaii site - that seems to be coming up the lowest..

Good for you!
I am obsessed with getting a good deal. But you also have to think that you might overpay a little here or there and underpay in other areas, so it all works out in the end.
You will be so happy once you book. I did a ton of research on the 3 islands I am going to - if you are going there, let me know and I will FM you the stuff I found - restaurants, things to do, etc.

I figured that as long as we book a trip within our budget then its ok - it is our honeymoon - so as much as id like to get things cheap - i also dont feel bad about spending $5k - id rather save a little on things once we're there.
I dont mind using coupons for our dinner
We are going to Oahu & Maui - so let me know anything good you found out! Thanks so much!!
