Hawaii HM - somebody humor me

Ok im driving myself crazy trying to book our HM to hawaii b/c i want to get what we want - and at the best price...

Just want to do an experiment to see if im even close at getting good prices..

someone whose already booked - give me your dates, where youre flying to/from, itinerary and hotels but dont tell me the price.. and i'll let you know what price i come up with ...

We booked thru a travel agent and got free filghts from FH's dad. We got a timeshare for 5 nights for free from my parents.

Here is what we booked with the Travel Agent:
2 Flights from Maui to Kauai
Rental Car in Kauai
4 nights in Mariott Kuai
2 flights from Kauai to Big Island
Rental Car in Big Island
2 nights Sheraton Big Island
2 filghts Big Island to Maui
Rental car in Maui


We are leaving on Monday, Feb 25 and returning Sat, March 8 (arrives late March 9th)

Going to oahu (waikikki) for 4 nights- at the Hilton Hawaiian Village- going july 29th

Inter Island flight

Going to Big Island for 3 nights and getting a rental car - staying at the Haupena Prince Hotel arriving aug 2

did you include interisland flights and transfers?

Ok --so for yours i came up with $2559 BUT i included the Sheraton in Kauai b/c the Marriott was unavailable (since its only a week away - it must be booked up) - so i dont know how compatible the two hotels are? And i booked economy cars

...so how'd i do?

We paid closer to 3k but I think the Mariott is more per night and we got convertibles on each island.

I would say that is a good price.

how are you booking on your own?

Are you at TA? or are you using a site like expedia?

I started out doing it myself but with all the combinations, it was too stressful so we just booked with the TA. Originally we didn't have the timeshare from my parents so we booked aplace and canceld, so we got refunded, thats why I think we paid around 3k, not sure of exact dollar amount.
