We are thinking of going to 3 Islands but not sure if that is going to be too much. So far we are thinking Maui, Kauai, and the Big Island. We may only go to 2 so if anyone has been to all 3 can give us some advice on which 2 are the best that would be great! Also, any recommendations on hotels or areas we should stay at on each island would be appreciated. Thanks!

We are going to Oahu and Maui... Oahu may not be for everyone because it is a city. Maui is pretty well rounded w/a good mix of seclusion with lots of activities...
I heard the Big Island is outrageous!! When we go back we are headed there...:)

I'm going to Maui and Oahu. Oahu has pearl harbor so that's why we are going there. I heard Kauai is awesome, but it's rainy when we go in january.

I just got back from Hawaii. (That is where my fiance proposed.)
I went to Oahu. Everyone told me if it was my first time in Hawaii, that I should go there first. It was amazing.
There is plenty to do in just Oahu if you are just going for a week.
The second best place is supposed to be Maui. It's supposed to be less touristy and very romantic.

I love Maui and Kauai - they are less touristy and have a more relaxed vibe. Also less developed, so you can enjoy the natural beauty of the islands.

LOVED Maui! I went to Oahu with friends a few years ago (Waikiki) and it was too busy and city-like for my tastes. Maui was much more laid back and romantic. The Four Seasons was fabulous!
