HAWAII -HONEYMOON, help!

Past and furture brides - I need your help, Our Honeymoon is booked and we're visiting Oahu and Maui islands.

I'm trying to get an idea of what kinds of activities, attractions, dinning, etc. that we can do. Can you please tell me what you did/going do?

Any information would be greatly appreciated, thanks

Re: HAWAII -HONEYMOON, help!

I haven't been to hawaii in a while but the few things i want to do again when i go back in oahu is pearl harbor, dole pineapple factory, atlantis submarine (expensive but worth it)
In maui i want to go to the old lahania laua i have never been but i heard its great. We are also going to do some deep fishing and snorkeling excursions. You could do the atlantis submarine in maui too, its offered at both islands.
I bought the hawaii for dummies trip guid and it has a lot of information about all these activities and others.
Hope this helps

We did the sunrise volcano bike ride in Maui: here is my review..
They pick you up from your hotel at some awful hour like 2 in the morning. I was nauseous from not getting enough sleep ! They drive you to there 'home base' and show you a safety video and then drive you to the top of the volcano. THey serve you coffee and muffins in the van and give you a windbreaker jacket, pants, gloves and goggles and you wait in the van until the sun rises. We went during rainy season so of course..it rained and I didn't get to see the beautiful sunrise
But we rode down the mountain anyway and it was fun..the sun came came out halfway down the mountain. They give you a full breakfast and then you ride through town to the beach. I was very proud of myself. I hadn't been on a bike since I was 12 . I had fun..I bet is even prettier when the sun is shining. Wear layers of clothing because at the top it is freezing!
We did a the Old Lahiana Luau. It was fun. food was OK. It was very romantic at night and the dancing was cool. I have a great picture of the poor cooked pig!
I also went to the aquarium and went to Lahaina for souvenier shopping.
On Oahu we went to a war museum and Pearl Harbor. If you get a chance try to get to the north side of the island. I heard its beautiful!

we are going there too (maui, kauai and kona)

In Maui I have been told to go to Lahaina for the evening...really cute there- great places to eat, lots of cute shops, told to do the sunrise/bike ride down the mountain, take the ferry and go to Lanai (manale bay hotel) for the day bc they have the best snorkeling and to take the Road to Hana (about a 2 hour drive- they have hot springs, and pools and hiking along the way)

We aren't sure if we are doing all of that, except for the Road to Hana and going to Lahaina. And everyone has told me to eat at Nicks Fishhouse in the Fairmount Kea Lani Hotel. Said it is AMAZING!!!

Have fun!

Re: HAWAII -HONEYMOON, help!

My dream vacation has been Hawaii. We got a price from my travel agent of $5200 for air and hotel and transfers for Oahu and Maui for 12 days staying at Sheraton and Hilton. Is that a good price and how much spending money should you anticipate for 12 days in Hawaii? I don' think I can afford this one, it just might have to stay in my dreams.
