Hawaii Honeymooners...

Just wondering where everyone is staying in Hawaii. I think we're going to Maui and Kauai and maybe one night in Oahu.

Hawaii Honeymooners...

It depends on what you are looking for. I went to hawaii for 7 days, and most was spent in oahu. I regret it. Oahu is SO commercialized. If you want paradise maui and the other islands are more romantic. Just my opinion. Enjoy your honeymoon.

Hawaii Honeymooners...

We are starting out in Vegas for two nights and then spending 5 nights in Maui and 3 nights in Kauai. If you want hotel information about the places we`re staying at, let me know. Good luck!

Hawaii Honeymooners...

We're stopping over in San Fran for 2 nights, then off to Kauai for 5 nights and Maui for 6. We originally planned to also fit in Oahu, but figured it would be too much travel. Plus, I've heard it is so commerialized, and we weren't really looking for that on our honeymoon. I do really want to see Pearl harbor, so worst case, we'll take a day trip over.

Octobergirl...where are you staying? *NM* *NM*

In Vegas, we're staying at the Bellagio. In Kauai we'll be at the Hyatt, and in Maui we're staying at the Fairmont Kea Lani. We did a lot of research and those seemed to be quite nice and at the same time relatively small. We did not want to be in a high rise hotel. Let me know if you have any other questions about these places. Hope I can help!

Hawaii here I come!!!

I did a great deal of research, so I'll be happy to help in any way I can. I'll be staying at: Halekulani - Oahu Hyatt - Kauai Four Seasons - Maui I have friends who stayed at the Halekulani who are well traveled, and have very discriminating taste. They said that it was by far the best resort they had ever been to. They left the Big Island after one night to come back to the Halekulani on their honeymoon. So while the island may be commercialized, this resort sounds like heaven! Check it out for your time in Oahu... :-) Or wait until July and I'll tell ya all about it!!! hehehe

I booked myself...

I had the time, and that way I could change my mind -- since most places will let me cancel up to like 72 hours before arrival. If I went with a travel agent that would be much more complicated. I'm flying into Oahu, staying 4 nights. Heading to Kauai, staying 3 nights. Then finishing on Maui for 4 nights. My fiance and I are lazy bums -We are planning more lying by the pool then island exploration - so I thought seeing new pools every few days would be great. If you are planning to 'do it all' on the islands I'd suggest longer stays! BEST OF LUCK, and have a great time planning!!!

Hawaii Honeymooners...

I booked through a travel agent. I figured that if anything should go wrong, then they can arrange alternative accomodations easier than I could. So I am staying at the Hyatt on Kauai for 3 nights and the Hyatt on Maui for 8 nights. My price included my airfare from JFK, car rental, breakfast every morning, interisland flights and an ocean front view while in Maui for $6500. I thought that was pretty reasonable compared to the prices I was getting on my own. Good luck in your search. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Hawaii Honeymooners...

Hi! We are going to Kauaii for 4 nights (the Hyatt), and Maui for 7 nights (The Four Seasons). We booked with a tour operator because you don't get penalized for making changes. We changed our flights and # of nights so many times... good luck.
