What is the better side of the island to stay at in Maui? (Wailea or kapalua) And why?

we just came back from Big Island... we stayed at the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel for 8 nights, we loveeeeed it... I will try to post some pictures during the week all I can say is that we drove around the island, tried to see some of the hot spots and not so known spots... the island is beautiful

Booked Hawaii, 7 nite in Maui and 3 nite in Oahu- Total $4500 Staying at Sheraton in Maui and Outrigger in Oahu.
