we went to the old lahaina luau on maui. we researched and found it to be the most authentic, we were told. didn't go to any others so we can't compare, but we enjoyed ourselves. I wish I had pics but we took those pics on our good camera, not the digital, so I havne'et scanned them in yet.

Re: Hawaii - Luau's
We went to Old Lahainu (sp?) on Maui (with Hmichick and Dave) it was great!!
I saw a lot more about luaus on Maui. The Hyatt I know had one on Kauai but the Old Lahainu was much better.
The two that seem to be most popular are Old Lahainu and Feast at Lele
Have fun!!
ps...hopefully will be posting pics soon:)

Is the Old Lahaina one, not on a hotel, becasue I heard about a good one on the Travel channel, but all i remember was that it was not in a hotel.

Re: Hawaii - Luau's
Old Lahaina is the best We had such fun, and it was a great show...we met up with Betty & Ken, and it was a blast. We saw the Feast at Lele, the other one on Maui, from a restauraunt next door. It looked good too, and was smaller. Make sure to book early (Betty and I booked before we left) as they book up fast.

Re: Hawaii - Luau's
I also went to the Old Lahaina Luau the same week as Betty & hmichick, although not on the same night. The mai tais were the best I had on the whole trip, but the food was so-so. I had a seat on a mat in the front, which was great for watching the show, but not the most comfortable. The show was fantastic. I have pictures on my digital camera that I still need to download, so as soon as I can, I'll post them. I've also heard good things about the Feast of Lele, but I didn't go to that show.

Old Lahaina Luau... we were there one month ago and loved it. Saw it on the Travel Channel and were very happy. DH was impressed that they met on line with mai tais.
It was very authentic and we loved it.
