i know Hawaii is a dream b/c how often can you really go to hawaii. st lucia i heard is beautiful & we would stay in st lucia longer! which would you pick & why

I've been to both... I would go to St. Lucia if you want a relaxing, resort like trip and Hawaii if you want to vacation more like go on tours, excursions, etc.

This was our decision to make too for our honeymoon. Only you two know best. We decided on St. Lucia because the flight to Hawaii was just too long. We loved St. Lucia!!!!

i havent been to either but from what i heard Hawaii is extremely tourist-y, st. lucia is more low-key and secluded - thats why we chose st lucia

I love Hawaii! The flight is loooooooong, but so worth it. It think the flight would be the deciding factor for me. 10 hours vs. 3 hours (or about 3).

These are the two places we narrowed it down to also. We chose Hawaii because we figured if we didn't go on our honeymoon when would we go.
We're hoping to do the Sandals Grande for our 1 yr.

We were in Hawaii in July and we loved it but we did stuff everyday to make sure we would not miss anything. We also only went to Kaui.
We were going to go back for our honeymoon to other islands but decied against it. The flight was very long and we wanted somthing more relaxing with some stuff to see.
That's why we chose St. Lucia. Still things to see and do but not as much as Hawaii. Decide what you want from your honeymoon. Do you want relaxing and very little sight seeing or the opposite. That will help you decide.
I will let you know how St. Lucia is when I come back in 2 1/2 weeks. We are staying at Sandals Grande.

FH and are a struggling with this decision. We are leaning towards Sandals Regency in St. Lucia because we can get flights and an oceanview suite with a private pool for the same amount we would pay for flights and regular rooms at two hotels in Hawaii. We really want to pamper ourselves and we figured we would not splurge on a beautiful room with agreat view like that any other time. We figure that our honeymoon will be the vacation that we will spend the most time in the room anyway

We chose St. Lucia because the flight isn't as long so we would have more time there. I heard it is amazing! I would have chosen Hawaii if we had more than 10 days to spend on the HM and more $$. If I'm going to Hawaii I would want to see everything there is to see. JMO

Hawaii is definitely a great choice, DH and i did the Grand Wailea which was amazing, their SPA is the best one i've been to and as for St. Lucia, this is where we'd like to go in the future: ladera

We were going to do hawaii, but decided on carribbean instead. We can only go away for 8 nights and feel like we would need more time in Hawaii sonce it is so far.
