I am going to Hawaii for my HM and I did NOT do anything like that - I didn't even think about it. Good question. And what about activities - did you make reservations for anything like that?

The only dinner reservation we made prior to the trip was the luau.
However, since Thanksgiving falls while we are on our HM, we will be making our Thanksgiving dinner reservations about a month before we go.
That's about it. Most places you can make dinner reservations that same day or the day before. The concierge in the hotel will be happy to make recommendations and reservations for you.

If your going to Maui then book the Old Lahaina Luau but besides that you can call when you get there and book your activities then!! If you have any other questions FM me bc we just went in May!!

Some of the restaurants fill up fast, especially if you want to have dinner and view the sunset. Also, I agree with booking the luau ahead of time.
