Hawaii REVIEW
So my friend wrote a review of his honeymoon and it was so good I thought I would share!
Oahu: Honolulu
Stayed at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. This place was awesome. Would go back in heartbeat. It's at the start of Waikiki beach and has the best views of the entire stretch of the beach all the way to Diamond Head which is the crater at the other end of the beach. In order to get the best views request an ocean view room with views of diamond head in the Rainbow tower. There are like five different towers in the complex.
Maui:
Stayed at the Four Seasons. Get their standard room at $450 per night, trust me it's not standard. Great beach, great service, great food, great pool, overall the best hotel experience I have ever had. It's in the town of Wailea. Not as much to do in this area of Maui as there is in Lahaina and north of Lahaina where there are more resorts.
If you're looking for a place to just relax and be pampered on your honeymoon than this is it. If you are going to do a stay at the Four Seasons do it last because it will ruin the other hotels for you.
Big Island:
We stayed at another Hilton: Waikoloa Village. This place has everything you need, except for a beach, but most of the Big Island does not have sandy beaches or if they do they are hard to find. The resort has a real lagoon in which you can snorker and kayak in, a huge pool, and basically an entire village with restaurants and canals. This hotel is more like a Vegas style hotel in Hawaii without huge partys.
If you want a great hotel on the Big Island with one of the nicest beaches I've ever been to stay at Hapuna Price or Beach Hotel. This hotel is really nice a private and has good room rates.
Which island could you skip?
I had to go to the Big Island because I needed to see flowing lava. I got my fix don't need to go back to the Big Island. You must go to Maui. If you like Miami beach than you we really like Honolulu. Kaui is supposed to be the most picturesque and if I ever go back I will make a trip there.
