Hey - I am a huge Aruba fan :) I, as well as 6 other members of my family, have timeshares there! we love it!! Unfortunately I am not going this year because I am saving up for my wedding (2012). So i can look into transferring my week to you. It's a lot cheaper than if you got a room yourself.

If you are interested in aruba (even if it's not my timeshare, that's just a bonus) lemme know! i can send you some pictures

I hear you about the expense. There is another option for Hawaii if you go on a cruise that it is cheaper. Maybe you can check into that. Otherwise I hear Aruba is just as nice!! We are thinking either St. Lucia, Antigua, or Aruba!!

I've never been to Aruba, but Hawaii is hands down the most amazing island I've been to! I've been to a few places in the Caribbean and while they have been very nice, nothing has been as breath-taking as Hawaii. Totally worth the expense IMO, especially for a honeymoon. Maybe consider going for only 10 days - you can really pack out your days with all kinds of things to do, and of course relax on the beautiful beaches!

Good luck

FH wants to go to Hawaii and my Mom said as our gift she'll pay for our honeymoon.

Can anyone give a ballpark for 10 nights in Hawaii?

Thanks!

We did 13 nights and spent just under 7k before expenses...so maybe like between 5-6k for 10 nights?

I vote for Hawaii! You can do a 7 night cruise on NCL and go from island to island. They are having an upgrade sale now. Book an oceanview room and upgrade to a balcony.

For airfare, check out Bank of America Visa Signature Credit Card. With this credit card, they offer a $99 companion fare as long as you buy one ticket. Alaska Air flies to Hawaii! You can save money that way.

Of you need any other information FM me

we're trying to figure out our HM also and we want to go to Hawaii but aren't sure how many nights we can afford there so one of our options is to go to san fran for a few nights, explore the area there, maybe go to napa for a vineyard day and then go to maui for 6 or 7 nights...not sure if that's ur thing, but i think its pretty cool bc you still get to go to hawaii and get 2 trips in one...plus it breaks up the long flight
