HDTV Dream Home! - meant 2 post on 09 board!

Every year i see the Dream Home and I am sooo blown away by the homes...and I want one! Ha ha ha! Too bad I never remember to actually put in for it! I just dream about winning it... it's like the lottery for me! I always wanna win it but never play it!

I wouldn't want to leave LI though... All our family is here... I would loove to leave from the prices, but FH decided to stay. Best of luck to you!!

I agree. They are all so amazing. Even watching the home channel and seeing all these beautiful houses for under $200K. It makes me sad, but I'd rather live in a small house in NY near family then have a huge house and be all alone.

I'd leave NY in a heartbeat! I'm sick of the city and I want to stretch out and not touch some focker! I live in Queens and commute into the city everyday for work (and everyday i think about suicide as I ride the smelly overcrowded trains with rude pple pushing and shoving their way in where they clearly don't fit.. and pple fighting for a seat... ugh it's horrific! - sometimes i feel like i've been sodomized by the time i get off the trains and buses!!!)... so I am sick and tired of it! I want a big yard.. and I don't want to pay a million dollars for what you can get for a fraction of the price elsewhere with perfectly nice people! Ha ha.. I'm adament about it. I'm tired of the city.. and all the cars on the road.. the roads are all over crowded. And all they are doing in Queens is knocking down landmarks and 1 or 2 family residents to build 4, 5, or 6 family homes.. which means more people! UGH I CANT TAKE IT ANYMORE!!! And I live in a failry residental area in Queens!

But.. you can use it as a vacation home! It's all paid off. then when you don't vacation there.. you can rent it out. I've rented vacation homes from people and gone there with friends for a weekend away! It's a great way to make some money too.

I feel your pain...I would NEVER be able to live in or near the city for that reason alone! lol. He.ll, I only WENT to the city like 4 times my entire life and I lived in the same house since I was born. HA. But I live out in Suffolk, and love it here. I will start off with a begininner home...ya know, small, but with land. There are still some here. Then, you just build. I would love a ranch to start, but I'll settle for just about anything. Well see how it all goes. I'm just going to take it one day at a time.

That's a good idea....use it for vacation... hmm..

I've moved sooo very often and lived in soo many different places. I was always the new girl! I even lived in Yapank (I dont know if that's spelled right) for some time... we had horses there! I don't remember it... the horses were my aunts... and we used to take them to town! Ha ha ha! My mother hated it... and she grew up in Middle Village... so back to Queens we came... and I've lived in sooo many diff places in Queens... I actually lived in Middle Village like 3 or 4 times and Glendale 2 times... amongst other places. The city has its perks.. dont get me wrong.. but i'm sick of it... and IMO... it just seems to be getting worse and worse and I cant take it anymore. I feel clausterphobic a lot of the time! My family still lives out in Suffolk. East Patchogue and Miller Place and Ronconkoma... some other places too.
