Head Piece Help

I need help. I'm so bad at this stuff. My dress is white silk with lace. I want a simple headpiece. I have no idea what to do first. Does the veil have to match the dress? I saw a pearl head band that I love on line (Veilshop.com), should I order it? Or does the head band/veil need to be ordered together? I guess I should go try some on first, but I truly have no idea. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
