Headed to LI for some major planning

My FH and I are heading to LI tonight for a couple days of non-stop wedding planning! Meeting with the priest, photographer, DJ, reception. church, florist, and the FIL's are also coming to town to meet my parents for the first time! Wish me luck!

Good Luck. Sounds like you have lots stuff to do. One word of caution- don't feel like you HAVE to make all of the decisions right away. Don't feel pressure to pick your vendors in the first meeting. You will just end up making changes later on or second guessing every decision when you get home.

Thanks! Michele, luckily I already have all my vendors chosen (except limos)....now I just need to finalize details, chose photography pacakge and things like that...so hopefully it won't be too overwhelming.

Good luck. I'll be making a trip there with my FMIL Sept. 5-9. On our agenda...picking out the flowers, the cake, meeting with the priest, checking out the room for our reception, checking out place for our rehersal dinner, and choosing our final menus at both, hair and make-up trials. I think that will be it. Unless I can think of something else that I need to squeeze in. It will be a very busy weekend.
