The hem should be completed and they will be pinning the bustle tonight!!!
I remembered to bring my necklace and will try to remember to have pictures taken!!!
Also, cross your fingers there is still air in my tire and I make it out to Shoreham (had a little issue on my way to work this morning!!!).

YAY!!! GOOD LUCK!!!! if you post pics, so will i! My second fitting is Saturday!! I'm going to wear my jewelry, headpiece and veil to get the whole effect.

No tire trouble
So the fitting was supposed to be so I could check the hem was correct (they pinned it at my first fitting) and then decide on/pin the bustle.
I get there, they bring my dress into the changing room & I notice buttons on the back - the bustle was already done! HELLO??? Without it being on?????
Anyway, I was a little bit Bridezilla (which was actually kinda cool cause I don't speak up half as much as I should!) but hey, the alterations are NOT CHEAP and gosh darn, this is a pretty important outfit!!!!!! I expect it to be perfect!!!
Well, there's now going to be six buttons instead of three and I have to take another day off from work for a third fitting, They were also like - we'll re-do the bustle and have it pressed and next time you can just pick it up - um, yeah, don't think so!!!!
Also did not like the necklace I bought with the dress, so I'm returning that and need to find something new.
Don't mind me ... I'm just in a cranky mood overall.

Oh god Wendy - I'm sorry you had such an experience What would it have taken for them to just wait to bustle til you got there? Jeez! But good for you for speaking up for yourself!

My issue was at the first fitting we worked on the hem and the plan was when I came for the 2nd fitting we would pin the bustle. Instead when I got there for my 2nd fitting they had already sewn in three buttons for the bustle without ever pinning it while I was in the dress to see where they belonged and how it would look.

Oh I get it now - I'm sorry. They did pin my bustle when I was there for my first fitting - that's why I was confused! They definately shouldn't have done it without you!
