Ok ladies. So forever I was saying that i didnt want a veil or a headpiece. I wanted a flower. I didnt want to be too bridal. Well as we get closer, my original plans of a french braided style with a flower seems to be falling through. The flower didnt look right with my dress because my dress was not 'bohemian' enough. Just wasn't workin for me. So if you want a clay flower for 20 dollars let me know!
The veil lady then convinced me to wear a veil to my wedding because she said that in pictures it looks best. it makes sense. So i picked out a VERY simple one tiered veil. Thought this would do the trick. I thought i could keep the hairstyle and do the veil. Well afte rmuch conversation i was convinced that the braids will make me look 12 years old. I dont want that. So there went the braids. So now, i have a veil but nothing else! The veil lady convinced me to try on a pretty headband. I did and to my surprise i liked it a lot! here is the issue...i know need a new hairstyle and jewelry! My question is this...do you think this hairstyle can work for my face and dress? (dress pics are in the album) I lvoed the way Future Mulligan looked (hope she doesnt mind my posting! Also, shoudl i do a hanging earring and no necklace? Just studs? studs and necklace? Help!
edit...here is the one i tried on...waht do you think?

Re: Headpiece, veil help!
I totally think that hairstyle will fit your face and your dress! I am biased to the drop earrings and no necklace look ( i think that is what i'm doing). esp when the dress has beading on top. So i think with a veil and headpiece, earrings are enough.
You are going to look beautiful!

Lauren, I think that is a perfect look for you! Definitely get a hair trial and see how you feel about the look. I like the drop earrings with no necklace. That is probably what I am going to do. Also, get a really fabulous bracelet and you're all set!!!

I agree with the other girls...you can totally pull off that hair style... no necklace... maybe nice earrings and a good bracelet...

That is my look also (minus the cig) i'm not doing a bun so tight... something a little more natural. As far as DOJ i am not wearing a necklace and for earrings something not too big, dont forget the headband will really shine in pics and is its own piece of jewlery. My neckline is the same as this pic as well so i think the whole look is great if thats what you are looking for!

Re: Headpiece, veil help!
I love this look and thought I'd do a side part like that but for some reason it didnt look right on me. Spend the money and get another trial then go back to the veil lady to check out how you look with your hair done... that's what I would do.
And also, who is this veil lady you speak of? I'm most likely going to get the same band FutureMulligan is wearing but if I can save myself a few hundred bucks, I'd love to!

i'm not going to do a stud but something just a tad longer... possibly a stud with a teardrop shape handing from it.. not sure if that sounds like how im envisioning it

Re: Headpiece, veil help!
I think that style would go well on you, you dont have a very round face well like me so i know for me it wouldnt work. Should look nice on you. Are you concerned with having it ALL back? for me i dont feel comfortable with hair all up or all away from my face so just curious if thats what it might be. If so you can still play around and still have options. Theres alot of styles you can do with a headpiece and veil, even maybe do top like nicole but have the hair to the side in curls or in a ponytail in the back with all curls, or half up. Its up to you
i also like the earrings and no necklace look. Doesnt even have to be stud, maybe even drop earrings or chandelliers unless you prefer studs which also will go well

Re: Headpiece, veil help!
You should do veil with no details, a headband and the long earrings with no necklace

You're so right! I also forgot to say that I actually changed my veil from one that had crystals to one that is plain
CoCo Chanel always use to say before you leave the house look in the mirror and take one thing off...
thats how i felt about my veil

the veil has no detail other than a thin finished edge. I know i definitely want my hair all back. It doesnt hold curls well so i dont want it to frizz out and get gross! Anyt other thoughts on not curly frilly styles?

i think its pretty and goes well
as far as hairstyles that are not curly and wont frizz, you definitely do have options. Also if you have a good stylist they should be able to do it and not frizz.
maybe you can do something simple but very elegant like this. Its not curly either they can just make the ponytail look like this.
