I know this has been posted before but I would like to know where everyone got their headpiece. I went to Tri County today and there was a couple nice tiaras there priced from $40-$65. One woman though told me she couldnt make the veil detachable and to use the comb. I dont believe that the comb can sit right against a Tiara, has anyone else come across this? I would like a detachable waterfall veil to sit against my Tiara.

Re: Headpieces
I went headpiece shopping in the City today with my cousin. We found a really sweet lady on 38th between 5th and 6th. She hand makes all of the headpieces- they range from $100 and up. My cousin bought a beautiful tiara for $135, all pearls and crystals. The other shops in that area had less expensive pieces but I found them to be of much poorer quality. She also quoted my cousin $115 for a three piece veil- one cathedral, one fingertip and one blusher piece on a comb with the cathedral piece detachable. She also told us she can't attach the veil to the tiara and to use the comb instead.

Re: Headpieces
I had a veil on a comb, and it worked to my benefit, because I attached it in back of my headpiece under my hair. If the veil had been attached to my headpiece, I would have run into problems because my my hair was too thick to fit inside my bunwrap, and some of it was outside the circle, but looked like it was inside the wrap. If the veil had been attached I couldn't have done that. (Did that make sense? I feel like I can't accurately describe what I mean!) My friend had a tiara and a waterfall veil on a comb, and it looked beautiful and was easy to remove during the reception when she was ready to take it off. Anyway, to make a long story short... I'm a big fan of the 'veil on a comb' look!
