Ok does anyone know about health insurance ? This is the situation-- I will be switching policies (same company but 2 different jobs) and my concern is what if I am pregnant before I switch? Is that considered a pre exisiting condition? or is it covered? I dont want to call and ask and alert them to it but then again I dont want to get screwed and find out I am not covered Any ideas? As long as there is not a lapse in your policy you should be fine!!

Just so you know Pregnancy is NOT considered a pre-existing condition in NY state.

If you go directly from one insurance to the other, the pre-existing rule does not count. Just make sure that the day your old coverage ends, your new coverage starts.... If your new job does not insure you right away, then you could pay through COBRA until you are covered at your new job.
